Online and Classroom learning.
Duration
In the classroom the course will take 3 weeks to complete including taking the exam. This is based on 2 days attendance per week for first two weeks and 1 day in the final week for assessment. Classes start at 10am each day and finish at 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Studying this qualification online will take approximately 30 hours and most learners will complete within 3 weeks.

The Access Award in Bookkeeping is accredited by AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and is an introduction to bookkeeping. It is suitable for all learners and is ideal for people progressing from the Award in Accounting, for people looking to return to work, change careers, have been in and those who have been in an accounting role but have no formal qualifications.
During the course you will:

Understand the role of a bookkeeper;

Learn about books of prime entry;

Prepare sales invoices and credit notes;

Review purchase invoices for errors; and,

Understand the concept of double entry.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
Progression to Level 1 Access Award in Computerised Accounts (SAGE), Level 1 Award in Computerised Payroll for Business.
How will I be assessed?
90 minute multiple choice exam
Entry requirements?
You must have successfully completed the Highfield Award in Accounting or have experience of working in an accountancy/ finance role.
