In the classroom the course will take 5 months to complete, based on studying for 4 hours a week. Studying this course online will take approximately 3 weeks, based on completing one module per week.

Are you completely new to computers or want to brush up your existing IT skills? If the answer is yes, then this is the course for you!
This course is aimed at learners who can already send and receive emails, or browse the internet but now want to gain the skills needed to work in a modern office. You will learn to use the most commonly used Microsoft Office programmes.
During this course you will be able to develop your IT computer skills beyond starter level in the following Microsoft Office applications:

Microsoft Word;

Microsoft Excel; and,

Microsoft PowerPoint.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
Progression to Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ)
How will I be assessed?
Portfolio of Evidence: As you progress through the course you will be asked to complete a number of exercises which will be captured in your portfolio of evidence.
